History

1980:
Massif was founded by Mr. Sotiris Gavriel. The company was originally formed to woodcraft customized and handmade furniture of high quality massif wood. Four years later Mr. George Evangelou, Mr. Sotiris's youngest brother, has joined the company and they have since built the name of Massif into a quality manufacturer.

1985:
Massif opened its first furniture showroom to display their own furniture. This was a pioneering step for In those times the manufacturers and the retailers were distinguishably separated. Massif was one of the very few manufacturers to forward-integrate.

1988:
Massif shifted towards general wood manufacturing to satisfy everything a new building would need. These would include kitchen furniture and benches, windows and doors, cupboards and panels, tables and wall furniture, garden furniture and constructions. At this stage the furniture business was only about one third of Massif's revenue.

Massif had developed a vision and an obsession for tackling the 'window challenge'. External doors and windows manufacturing was considered one of the most difficult tasks a carpenter would face at the time. The extreme whether and temperature variations found in Cyprus were detrimental to the durability of existing products.

1996:
Following a year of endless market and manufacturing research, multiple trips to manufacturing exhibitions around the industrial centers of Europe, testing, and evaluating existing latest technology, Massif took the strategic decision to focus and invest in manufacturing the best wooden external windows and doors. It was a 180 degrees turn converting the company from being a generalized wood manufacturer into a specialized one.

1996:
Massif was proud to deliver to the first customer in Nicosia Cyprus its new supreme window profiles.

1997:
The first show room was opened in Nicosia. It was the only show room nationwide that specialized in solely wooden windows.

2004:
Massif moved into a new showroom in Nicosia, which is much bigger and in a central and prominent position. As of today, Massif's show room in Nicosia is the biggest and most specialized on the island in terms of windows and doors. The show room offers expertise advice and housing solutions to potential clients and industry professionals by trained and qualified personnel.

2005:
